Problem
Patients with migraines often struggle to follow prescribed therapy due to the high cost of treatment, the need for regular medication intake, and the constant stress caused by frequent attacks. This reduced adherence to treatment and worsened overall quality of life.
Solution
We created a chatbot that became a personal assistant for migraine patients. The bot reminded patients to take their medication and provided tips on managing migraines. Gamification included activity points, an interactive pharmacy map, and educational content to motivate patients to actively participate in their treatment. Artificial intelligence helps quickly find the necessary information in a specially prepared knowledge base, track complaints, and monitor adverse effects.
Short educational materials on methods of dealing with migraines were developed, and regular newsletters helped maintain patient interest and inform them about innovations and best practices.
Results
The use of the chatbot increased adherence to therapy, and the frequency of missed doses was reduced by a quarter. Several thousand patients gained access to better therapy, and CSAT surveys showed high satisfaction—4.6 out of 5. Patients noted improved control over migraine attacks, and access to useful information made treatment more manageable and comfortable.
